"... writing TV commercials for talking peas, selling Scotch Whisky to French bankers, Producing Annual Reports for Government agencies and finally the immersion in almost uninterrupted sculpting.
Having studied with pupils of Karin Jonson and Cecil Collins and laterly at the Art Academy, I now work in a variety of materials; clay, plaster, wax, metal, stone.
The qualities of each material have significant influence over the eventually created form and even when transmuted to bronze these qualities leave their living trace.
Underpinning all this work is a process of continuous looking and drawing.
Last, but not least, I work with found objects. That moment of finding the unexpected in the most ordinary of object is quite hard to beat."
